Play Cast Pulls Through With rhe lead, Charlie (Rich Anderson (12)), injured in practice rhe night before the fall play opened, it wos questionnoble whether Flowers for Algernon, would be presented on November 21 ond 22. Rich ond Jonelle Whittingham (12), student director, accidentally knocked down two supports for the Modrigol Dinner set while moving rhe piono. One of them fell on Rich's neck cousing him to spend two hours in the hospital. With rhe help of medication however, Rich was able to perform rhe next day. According to Ms. Meg Zouner, director, the performances went very well ond rhe cost did o good job despite problems they faced. The set wos multi-leveled with no backdrop because the ploy wos episodic (moved quickly from scene to scene). Since the ploy wos modern, - costumes were from stock or cost members' own clothes. The props were either made, brought or found. Audience reaction, said Ms. Zouner wos fovoroble ond they enjoyed it ond seemed to think it wos moving. In celebration of five weeks of reheorsol ond two performances, the cost hod o party or Elisso Lund's house offer Saturday night's performance.
