Nl XR I JN Sllfh XIIIIIIHI Washougal 12 Mzlwxukze 10 This game was the fxrst to be played on an opponents floor lf two of our regular play ers had arrlved at the flrst of the game Washougal would have been shown some real ftght There happened to be only one sub at the game and for a few mmutes evervthmg looked dark for Nlnlwaukxe At the last mmute a mem ber of our second team was dlscovered among the onlookers and the game b gan Both girls dld marvelously well consxdermg they had never played on the regular team before The glrls who deserve spectal mentxon were Etleen Ktleen and l-sther Whtte The others who played were Nome Beatrice Dorxs Amy Alma and Hazel Hubbard 79 Mllwaukle 17 Of course th1s game was not such a success as far as scores go but our guls gaxe Hubbard a struggle for the points they scored Hubbard had a wmnmg team and they admrtted they had a hard flght even though they dtd make so many taskets The gurls lmc up was Nome and Peggy forwards Dorxs center Alma and Amy guards Mzlwaukze 29 Camas 28 Thus game played at Camas Washmgton was the pepplest one of the season Both teams showed wonderful team work and the way the ball flew from one goal to the other made the spectators falrly hold their breath There was an entlrely dtfferent lme up for thls game Nome and Peggy played forwards B atrlce center Alma runmng center Amy and Mae as guards Thts was Nlaes first game but she showed that she was perfectly capable of fnllmg the job Hubbard 43 Mzlwaukze Io Thls game proved to be better than was antlclpated from the results of the game play ed at Mllwaukle The glrls played a good fast game and succeeded ln brmgmg Hubbard down to the lowest score they had made this season The lme up was as follows Nome and Peggy forwards Beatrrce center Alma and Elhs guards Multnomah 78 Mzlwaukle 27 ln order to have a llttle more excltement the gurls played the Nlultnomah Ama teur Athletxc Club As one of our coaches Mlss Hunter was a member of the opposlte sxde xt helped to Increase the excitement of the game lt was an even game all the way through and lt was not unt1l the fmal whlstle blew that the decldlng l-asket was shot by Multnomah Those who played were Nome and Peggy for wards Doris center for half the game and Beatrice center for the other half Alma and Amy guards and Ollvme as sub Beaverton 35 Mllwaukze I3 Thrs seemed to be ymx mght for the team all rlght The ball just slmply refused to go mto the basket for elther Nome or Peggy The glrls who played were Peggy and Nome, forwards, DOFIS, center, Beatrlce, runnmg center, Alma guard, and Amy guard for one half and Mae for the rest P11110 7 llll'lIfl1 vlqhi tc ' W1 .' 1 . . , Q V . . 7 v - v v .
