:xi march March was a month which included a bushel and a peck of assorted fun-filled activities. Foreign Language week kicked off March with a week of twinkie eating, tug of war, and tossing eggs - A general good time for everyone. March was also Youth Art month, which was a really successful event. Student art work was displayed at the Milton Public Library, and at the Huntington Galleries. The Ensemble presented an impromptu concert in the hallway, which was a beautiful experience. March was also the month for the time of the year we all look forward to The Student Body Presidential Election campaign. It was a close and heated race, but in the end, after the final votes had been cast, the victors emerged as Scott Peyton and Brett Short to lead our school into wonderfulness for another glorious year. The Deca'l classes presented a fashion show including all the latest clothing for work, or play, or who knows what else, on March 8. It was enjoyed by all. Later the same day, Marshall University's Stage Band tfeaturing our own Jeff Boehm, trumpeting his way into our heartsl played Ragtime music for our bewildered Students. It was truly a day of entertainment beyond compare. March of Dimes week was one of the most exciting events of the year. This whole week was spent dropping coins into a large glass bottle. At the end of the week, Wendy Lewis guessed the correct amount of $74.00 in the bottle, winning the grand prize of five bucks. On March 26, Red Cross blood donor day was a smashing success. Students pumped out a total of 85 pints of the red stuff into little plastic containers of life. Other activities included cap at gown order taking day, Flag, Track, and Softball tryouts. March was without a doubt, the month of the year! 23
