U OI If Well SEDIOTS, we are flnlshlng our h1gh school days Let's look back at the f1rst day we entered M1lton I-hgh School It was 1n September 1949 We met Mr Lowe and were asslgned to our homeroom teachers who were Mrs Allred, M1ss Browder Mr McDan1el and Mr McCoy Our homeroom cha1rmen were Mary Seager, B1lly Io Clark Sarah Holley and E11 Wh1te Dw1ght Harshbarger and Mary Seager were the f1rst members of our class to get 1n the Band 1n llh1S year In September, 1950 we entered MHS as elghth graders Th1s year our homeroom teachers were Mr Fu gate, Mr Ball, and Mrs MCGIHDIS and Marada Murrell was chosen Jumor H1gh Cheerleader th1s year Some of our classmates Jomed the JUIIIOX' H1gh Glee Club and many of our boys Jomed the ,Iumor I-hgh Basketball team In the year 1951 we came to M1lton H1gh as freshmen Th1s year we were Jo1ned by students from Cullo den and Ona who soon became just another part of the class We had as our homeroom teachers Mr Throck morton Mrs Taylor, Mrs Stanley, Mrs Harshbarger, and Mrs Thornton Homeroom cha1rmen were Dav1d Morton Mary Burns, Margle Yoho, Mary Seager and Dw1ght Harshbarger junxor H1gh Cheerleaders from our class were Ann MOFYISOH, Marada Murrell Sarah Holley and Joan Huffman Some of our class Jolned Vo Ag F H A Basketball Glee Club and Band In the fall of 1952 we came back to MHS as sophomores w1th Mrs McClung Mrs Harshbarger, M1ss Klme and M1ss Blake as our homeroom sponsors Tll1S year even more were on the football and basketball teams and 1n the band ThlS year Joan Huffman was Sen1or H1gh Cheerleader and Ann Mo won and Sue Huff Our attendant to MISS Greyhound was supposed to have been Marg1e Yoho but due to a serlous 1llness she was unable to go to the game and the dance In the fall of 1953 we came to school as fl1ghtyjun1ors and were ID the homerooms of Mrs Fraz1er, M1ss Wayland, Mrs Htmter, a.nd Mrs Harshbarger Our class offlcers were Dw1ght Harshbarger, George Kmder, Marg1e Yoho, and Boyd Meadows Jack P1nkerman who moved here IH 1954 from Portland Oregon defeated Boyd Meadows and CUftlSS Barrett for the Pres1dency of the Student CO1l.1'1C1l E11 Wh1te was drum major of our band from 1953 1955 Of course we'll always remember the Jumor Class Play 'Gabr1el Blow Your Horn The cast cons1sted of Curt1ss Barrett George Kinder Marg1e Yoho, Ann Morr1son Kay Perry Mary Seager, Mary Burns Sue Adk1ns Boyd Meadows, Bob Bragg, Dw1ght Harshbarger, and Darrel MOTFISOH all ofwhomw1ll tell you that the play was one of the h1ghest po1nts 1n the1r school l1fe We'll never forget how hard we worked on the junlor Sen1or Banquet and Prom, but we'll all agree lt was worth every drop of tears, sweat, and blood we shed Our attendants to M1ss Greyhound were Marg1e Yoho and Ann Morrlson and the1r escorts were Gene Ball and E11 Wh1te In the fall of 1954 we entered dear old MHS for the last year We really felt l1ke Mighty Senlors Our homeroom teachers were Mrs Henderson, Mrs Fraz1er and Mr Fugate and our class offlcers were George Kmder, Boyd Meadows, Danny D1llon Gary I-lolbert New majorettes were Anna jean Clay Beatrxce McCal1ster Qwho has now become Mrs Harold Austmj and Marg1e Yoho Qwho IS now Mrs jack Perryj Sara Grass escorted by Jxmmy Queen was chosen as MISS Greyhound of19S5 and her attendants were Ann MOTFISOH escorted by E11 Wh1te and Marg1e Yoho Perry, Escorted by Dw1ght Harshbarger And now, sen1ors, we are f1n1sh1ng our h1gh school days and are eagerly look1ng forward to Senxor Sk1p Day, the class play our banquet and prom and then baccalaureate and commencement 'I'l'l1S 15 the end of our school days at M1lton High but It w1ll not be the end of our many pleasant mem or1es We w1ll always look back on our school days as the best days of our l1ves 23 ' f . , . . . , . . . l I ' , l Q ' . - , Q I ' n ' U U , . . . , u , . . 1 7 7 ' ' ' 1 - ' ' 3 a 1 ' . . , ' . man were majorettes with the band.
