We appeared at eight of the ten football games this year. The shows contained precision marching,
swing music, and old fashioned waltzes. The best liked number was a swing tune called "Business in Bb".
The majorettes went to town on this one and Charles Danford and Dwight Harshbarger had the "ride" solos.
We took part in the ,Corner Stone Laying Ceremonies of the new Baptist Church, Memorial Day Services
at the cemetery, Fourth of July Parade sponsored by the Fire Department, and gave an, outdoor concert for
the Hospital on Hospital Day. We also put on three other concerts for the school and town people.
This year we did the best ever on the Birthday Calendar--we had 1103 listings.
Our hope for next year is "A New Band Roomf'.

How to Open Your Book
Hold the book with its back an a smooth
surface, let the front board down, then
the back board. Hold the leaves in
one hand while you open a few leaves
at the back, then a few at the front,
and so on, alternately opening back and
front, gently pressing open the sections
till you reach the center of your book.
Repeat this two or three times.
Never open violently and never force
the back of the book.
Do this to insure 0 longer life for your
annual.
