Class Poem
Four years ago together
A Freshman class we stood
Xvltll excellent lntentlons
That sometlmes turned to good
We studled subjects vs elghtx
That ney er grew qulte clear
We faltered by the vsay slde
But now at last we re here
Although the tasks you set us
VK ere dlfflcult to do
And the scholarshxp requlrements
Oft made us cross and blue
Your ears were deaf to pleadlng
We worked with all our mlght
And to a noble purpose
As we attest tonlght
We ll take no tearful leavmg
We ll say no sad good byes
For though our hearts are heavy
The world before us hes
But now tls tlme to go
Behmd are recollectlons
Ahead our futures glow
As chxldren tlred of playmg
At sunset hurry home
Back to Mllls Pralrle Hlgh School
We too some day shall come
And when across our pathxx ay
Txme s cool gray shadow falls
Hou ll hear our weary footsteps
Returning to y our halls
To you oh Alma Mater
Our Loyalty vue g1X8
Thls be your prlde and honor
lou taught us how to llve
