WORDSMITH Seniors First Place, Donna Underwood Second Place, Emily Hasty Third Place, Patricia Bright Tie Lynne Rodell Juniors First Place, Michael Labonte Second Place, James Wiles Wordsmith is a competition sponsored by the Literary Guild. Students from each grade are recommended by their English teachers. These students are selected on the basis of their writing ability and word knowledge. To accumulate points, they compete in the 40 word dash, the 80 word dash, the 120 word dash, and Scrabble. A first, second and third place winner is chosen from each grade, and the person with the most points is the grand prize winner. The students who place first and second go on to represent Millington Central at the County Wordsmith Tournament.  fekiiiaMiM Yearbook Staff 22 activities The Yearbook Staff works very hard all year long to produce the Annual. The staff, consisting of 27 members, meets every day during 5th period. The photographers can be seen during the day taking candid shots of student life. To help cover the cost of producing the annual, the staff sponsors a talent show in the spring.
