One of the largest classes ever of freshmen gave everyone the joy of making new friends. Already in place when students arrived were the McCor- mick Dining Center, accompa- nied by the new food service, and the renovated Steve Lacy Field- house. Construction had also be- gun on the new Student Union Building which was completed during second semester. So many new additions gave students and the campus a sense of rejuvena- tion and added to Milligan ' s Year of Celebration. .
