I Tin; snow came, Saturday, January 29, two days before the scheduled beginning of spring semester. The storm kept most students at home and trapped those who had returned to the dorms early. But what a place to be trapped! Classes were cancelled the first three days of the new semester. There was time to catch up on sleep, play cards, have long jam sessions, read, participate in sports- all the things one cannot always fit into his school day. For those students venturing outside the dorms, the campus was a pretty, as well as strange, sight to see. Icicles glistened from spouts, drifts were whipped high h the wind, and the lake was lost under its white blanket. Paths were blocked and the campus seemed big and lonely. But the solitude did not dampen students' spirits. Women had pajama parties and dancing in the balls, the men played pinochle and shoveled snow. Mornings, many tromped to die dining ball, the girls wearing the usually forbidden slacks, and dined until the new breakfast hour of ten o’clock. Indeed. January 29 to February 2 was a first for all at Millcrsville and a very likely last for tile span of their college years. 21

One of the many new additions to the campus is a Millcrsv'dlc sign, You have to watch out (or those sudden showers. s our college days continue, we each gather ehind us and within ns a rail of experiences. Most of these experiences have one common element— people. The scenes on this page are familiar ones to all and may in some small way serve as a symbol of the many people we have seen, met or befriended, lie it the student by the entrance sign the day we frrst come on campus, or the girl coining out of a dorm as one walks by, or the group one passes on his way ‘cross campus—all represent the many people each one of us has come in contact with at Millersville State College.
