This year for the first lime, the campus social season began with a popular singing group. The Four Seasons, presenting a concert in Penn Manor Gymnasium. As one joined in the good-natured fun of that evening, he felt happy to I c hack on campus, where the opening of additional Student Union facilities gave him increased chances for more campus fellowship. As the campus and enrollment grow, campus life, filled with the joys of friendship, the ups and downs of romance, and the challenge of attaining social responsibility, will grow also if given the students’ desire.

September meant a unique experience for the Freshmen. To lieip them adjust !«■ eollege life were regs and orientation. Under ehairman Robert Heigh, regs again featured Dress-Up, Kiddie , and Mix ami Match Days that see tin- name-tagged, dink-wearing Frosh submitted to further demands. Hack also were the tooth brushes, teddy I rears, and hike circling rules: however. the latter had modifications one could use the hike walks if he walked backward. New to regs was the tribunal which protected the Frosh from unnecessary hazing and punished rule breaking Frosli at the week’s end. The orientation program headed by Joan Coin-lois also aimed at helping tile Frosh. The guide program. making its tenth ap| earanee on campus, was the initial step in the program; almost two hundred upperclassmen acquainted the Frosh with locations, customs, rules, and regulations. Unlike regs, the orientation program continued until November with weekly sessions in Lyle Auditorium. The end of regs.
