Senior Class Officers A parting sigh—a smile—a promise—and our college career has come to an end. Some of our sighs arc for the years which have sped so swiftly since we first heard an upperclassman yell, Who do you love? Some sighs are of regret for the friends we leave behind. Others are of relief for the exams and papers we’ve completed. President Joseph Glass Vice-President Frank Coons Secretary Patricia Smith Historian Mary Jane Fetherman Some smiles are of pride and contentment because we have accomplished what we sometimes felt was impossible. Some smiles are of gratitude to our Alma Mater and to our parents for the encouragement they have given us. But mostly our smiles and sighs are full of hope for the promise of the future. Treasurer Kenneth Kline

Virginia Beck Dr. Beck, a member of the History Department, devotes most of her teaching time to correlating historical affairs with the literary aspects in the World Culture Course. Besides teaching history she enjoys reading historical novels and biographies. Dr. Beck received her B.D., M.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been on the Millersvillc instructional staff for seven years. Away from school many of her interests center around her newly built home. She admits a weakness for the Ogden Nash type of nonsense, and chocolate, in any form. For the j ast four years Dr. Beck has guided the many undertakings of the senior class. Louis G. Jennings Mr. Jennings, though bom in New Jersey, resides in ILancaster with his wife and three children. A graduate of Franklin and Marshall and Duke, and currently working at the University of Pennsylvania toward his doctorate. Mr. Jennings came to MillersviUe six years ago as a member of the English Department. Included in his experience is service in the Army in Japan. He held the rank of captain. His interests include reading, music, and languages, and on the lighter side he enjoys good food, travel, eight o’clock classes, and last but not least, Jimmie Durante. As our class co-sponsor Mr. Jennings has been of great assistance to us in reaching our goal as seniors. 19
