prologue To all who have ever heen associated with the Normal, and who have in the years past derived happiness and profit from this loved institution, the class of ‘17 extend greetings of fraternal fellowship. In this volume, we have aimed to set forth a brief account of ourselves and our efforts while here at school and to prepare a chain, even though imperfectly wrought because of our limited ability and lack of experience, which would, in future times, link us with the past. We hope that you. who read this testimonial, may do so with a none too critical attitude, ami if it shall in any way and to any one of MillersvilleVs loyal followers bring to mind pleasant recollections of those happy Normal days, we shall feel that we have been repaid and that our labors have not entirely been in vain. Our work here as a class will presently be finished, and all too soon we shall go to be one of the great number who have trod the same short path, and in our passing we take this opportunity of saying to Dear Old Millersville. We thank you for your noble services and for the joyous hours you have given us, and we leave with you these parting words, ‘May you continue to live, not only in words and deeds, but in the hearts and minds of all your sons and daughters, a school for Preparation and Training in the truest sense of the word. ”
