i omrr Jf. ZDiltuortf) Mr. Dilworth was born at St. Albans, West Virginia, November ij, 1871. He attended high school in I liekiville, Ohio, and later was graduated from Tri-State College, Angola, Indiana, with a B.A. degree. Tri-State College then recalled him to take charge of the department of English, which In did for two years. 11 is services were quickly recognized and he was made county superintendent, which position lie filled successfully for a period of fourteen years. He attended school in Boston, Massachusetts, for a time and then obtained his master degree at ( olnmbia I niversitv in 1918. Millersville at once called him to become the bead of the Knglish Department, and he has been with us ever since. During the time spent here he has very ably and efficiently given instruction in Knglish and American Literature, Rhetoric and Composition. That he has been successful in bis work is shown by the greater interest and broader view taken in these branches bv the students who have come under his influence. lie is an orator of no mean ability and as a reader, especially of Riley’s works, he has achieved much success. His personality is reflected in a broad-minded, practical view of tilings, a pleasant yet firm disposition, a courteous and gentle manner, and an elevated, charitable mind and character. As a recognition of his loyal services in our liehalf and as an emblem of our respect and affection, we, the c lass of 1917. do dedicate to him this, the nineteenth volume of the Millersville annual. — O’ —
