Miss Taylor and Miss Myers have had the same motives, the same interests. :»s we. and although our work has been hard, under them it has l ccn a pleasure. Many times when we have ln en half distracted worrying over some troublesome pupil, or the progress of our grades, they have step) ed in. and with a few decisive words settled our difficulties and lightened our labors. Both Miss Taylor and Miss Myers are bom teachers, with thorough knowledge of their subjects; this essential characteristic, aided by the most pleasant of dispositions, has endeared them to all with whom they have come in contact. They are always ready to sacrifice their time and their pleasure in order that they may do a little more for us. Our School is indeed fortunate in having such persons on its faculty, and may the years which they havospent at our Alma Mater Ik; only the forerunners of those which arc to come.

She receives I her early education in the public schools of that borough. After teaching one year in the ungraded schools of her native county, she taught in the public schools of Millersburg. Later she taught one year in the Oirls’ Industrial School. Delaware. Ohio. She resigned this j ositioii to take a course in the Training School, Columbus. Ohio, and was a student for some time in the Cook County Normal School. In September. 1882, Miss Taylor was elected Supervisor of the Primary Schools, Itdlairc. Ohio, which position she held until 181)0, when Dr. Lvte w:e fortunate enough to secure her for our .Model School Superintendent. .Miss Carrie Kugeniu Myers was bom at Mountville, Lancaster County. Her ancestors were among the early lerman settlers. After atteiuling the public schools of Mountville, she entered the Lancaster High School. Mdlersville was her next choice of schools; she was graduate! front our Alma Mater in 1881. She is also a graduate of the Cook County Normal School, Class of '!»I Miss Myers’record as a teacher has Iwen an enviable one. Beginning in the public schools of West Hempficld, sin- next accepted a position as teacher in Colonel Parker's Cook County Normal. In 181)8 she came to Millersville as Associate Principal of the Model School, and since that time has Item working hand in hand with Miss Taylor.
