Marie Eugenia Ramos-Guzmon, our first AFS Student, arrived from Guatemala City, Guatemala, on August 27, 1965, to spend this school year with us. Jenny, as she is commonly called, lived with Mr. and Mrs. Harris Sheetz on Market Street. She gave many talks and presented slides about her native land to local clubs. We extend our thanks to the American: Field Service and the Student Council for their support in this project, which helped to create a better understanding between us and our foreign neigh- bors. .vga .Q

HERE XVE STAND . . . Here we stand, fearless and brave, waiting for our call. As never before, We realize that the World needs us as women and men. We will never be one great, big, happy group, just as we can never be just kids again. We will become the strength of our nation, the crusaders for freedom, the champions of democracy, the enemies of communism, and the leaders of the world. We do not need someone to spur us on. And as our forces grow stronger, day by day, we will work and show the world that we are right.
