Milford High School Carnival On October 28, 1955, the Milford High School held their annual carnival, The merchants of Wakefield, Milford, and Junction City donated many valuable gifts for the bingo stand. A skit entitled Hillbilly Sue was presented twice in the study hall. We had several new stands this year in addition to the usual ones we have every year, The country store had a continuous line of customers due to the fine merchandise The jail had the usual amount of business because of so many people disobeying the law. The basketball throw went out of business early in the evening losing all its gifts to the good ball players. Some of the other stands were the fishpond, penny toss, and the dart throw, The Blue Star Inn set up business in the music room selling a lot of delicious food. Mr. Harold Hudson won the beautiful heart,-shaped cake made and donated by Eva and Arfie Condray, The door prize was won by Mrs. Hulda Enfield. The prize was a beautiful wool blanket purchased at a reduced price from Townsends. Several of the young children came masked and all of them received a prize for their costumes. , The carnival was a success and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
