Freshman Initation As usual the seniors had a lot of fun the first week or two of school teasing the freshmen. Especially the day of freshman initiation, September 13, 1955, During the day we saw some of the rarest creatures, but as we examined them, we found out they were just the freshmen dressed up in the funniest costumes, There was Dorothy Morfitt running around in her pajamas and high heels. Marilyn Martin was wearing long underwear fbackwardsj. To top that off she wasn't wearing any shoes. Verna Belin was wearing a basketball uniform with work shoes. Kay Big- ham was wearing a skirt draped around her shoulders. Oh, those handsome creatures Gail Shivers wore a man's vest and a skirt with bloomers underneath, Billy Noble was dressed as a woman, I didn't mention that these kids had a vegetable hanging around their neck, lipstick all over them, and they had cake coloring and corn starch in their hair. The freshmen had to do several duties during the day, Of course first of all they had to obey the seniors. Every time they saw a senior they had to bow and say Praise the Seniors . They had to go up the stairs on one foot. Candy was served to all the seniors. To punish the freshmen for breaking initiation rules, kangaroo Court was held that evening. Here at this court, we really had fun, Following the court hearing, the seniorsserved the school refreshments and then everyone went to Junction City where part of the school attended a show, while the others went skating.

Junior Pla O On November 18, 1955 the junior class presented TWO DAYS TOMARRYJ' It was a comedy in three acts. The characters were as follows: Simon P. Blau' millionaire ..........................Charles Luthi .Tim Head was unable to be in the play due to sickness so Robert Smith took his place, According to his father's will, .Tamles Dare, a happy-go-lucky man of the world is to come into possession of a huge fortune on his twenty-eighth birthday, providing he is married by that time. By some chance this clause in the will was overlooked i and was discovered just two days before that event. His lawyer agreed to fix matters up for him and he certainly was some fixer.
