Kayettes Milford high school has had one-hundred per-cent membership in the Kayettes, The officers were president, Carol Mellingerg vice-president, Beverly Puckg secretary-treasurer, Barbara I-leskettg and reporter, Janice Brighton, Mrs, Goldie jones is the sponsor, The Kayettes are proud to have received their 5000 point award, This year we are working toward our 6000 point award, in order to receive these awards we have to do certain activities in school, church, community and world service, Two girls attended Kayette camp at Rock Springs last summer, They were Beverly Puck and Carol Mellinger, Both of these girls learned a lot and really enjoyed them selves, The camp was from August 19th to the Z3rd, The Kayettes are sending two girls this summer, To get acquainted with the new Kayettes, we had a slumber party again this year, We had it September 30th, Everyone really enjoyed herself ieven the teachers., We went to a show injunction City and then returned home for an active evening, There were treats to eat all night, About five girls stayed up all night, The teachers tried to get a little shut-eye but they were having the best time trying to find their beds, At six o'clock the next morning a delicious breakfast was served, That day school was quite active, Beverly Puck, Barbara Heskett and Mrs, Jones attended a Kayette conference at Hiawatha October 11 and 12, They attended many group discussions, and general sessions, One of the projects for Christmas this year was to fill boxes with candy and give them to the bachelors, We had fun doing it and everyone ofgthe men seemed to enjoy our cooking. The Kayettes went Christmas caroling again this year, They sold mistletoe and candles to the people to whom they sang, The Kayettes decided they would help the cooks at the grade school to make their dinner a success at Thanksgiving so they decorated the tables with different Thanksgiving emblens and it made the tables look very pretty, All the Kayettes attended a conference at Enterprise, It was the afternnoon of january 12 It was a very nice program, Miss Vinson, a wonderful worker among Kayettes, gave a wonder- ful talk on girls and boys our age, This year the Kayettes have received several letters from a woman from Greece to whom we sent money last year, It has been very interesting to get her letters, It is surprising how much help it is to them if we give just a small amount of money, Again this year we sent 55,00 to C, A, R, E, This money was distributed among ten foreign people, We found out that we could provide meals for underfed people by giving money and they could get these meals for only three cents a meal, All the Kayettes decided it was worth giving up a candy bar once in a while so we collected 51,64, Z3
