Freshman Initiation The green Freshmen who began school September 6th became full-fledged high school gals and lads of their initiation held the twenty-first of September. These kids'were sad looking exhibitions ,coming to school that morning, The girls, or what we ordinarily would have called girls, came dressed in men's shirts, jeans and hats, Their hair was in pigtails tied with ribbons and their clothes on backwards, The boys were just the opposite, posing as girls, My, we didn't know boys were so pretty dressed in buttons and bows, and with gobs of makeup on they really made a hit, During the entire day these lowly Freshmen appeared about school like this being careful not to talk back to any Seniors, Highlighting the day was the grand initiation held in the evening, Stunts were performed by the Freshmen directed by our judge Earl Dornberger, A kangaroo court was held to punish them for misbehavior during the day, Before going home the Seniors revealed their true feelings by treating the poor Freshmen to refreshments, Then the whole school went to the movies in junction City,
