Class History The Senior class of 1955 has been changed throughout its four years of high school at Milford, ln the fall of 1951 Anna Johnston, Darlene Walters, Larry jones, and Glena Babb entered high school as green Freshmen with Mrs, jones as our sponsor, The class was sailing along fine until Freshman initiation came, That day all of the class had to dress up like characters in the comics, but we survived the ordeal, During the year Richard Kanawyer and Robert Oldnettle joined our class, At the beginning of our Sophomore year Barbara Heskett joined our class and later on Shiela Blevins came, Mr, Gaddis was our class sponsor, The class participated whole-hearted- ly in all school extra curricular activities, Toward the end of the year Shiela Blevins returned to Salina, The Sophomores gave a party for the entire school and for entertainment had a scavenger hunt, The junior year was a busy one for everyone in the class, Earl Dornberger came from Wakefield to join our class, The class presented its fir st play entitled Nowhere Fast direct- ed by Ester Thacker, ln April the Juniors gave a banquet in honor of the Seniors, The theme of the banquet was Come With Me To The Mardi Gras, Our Senior year was destined to be one of the most out- standing years of our class, Our sponsor was Mr, jones, Richard Kanawyer left us and Darlene Walters became Mrs, Raymond Shivers, She completed her high school career by correspondence, This left us with only four active members during our Senior year, The most unforgettable day was graduation in May of 1955 when our class was destined to part and each of us to seek our future, 9

last Will and Testament We the Seniors 01 nineteen-hundred and fifty-five being of improved HJ and weary mind, as a result of four years of arduous search for the golden nuggets of wisdom, now in spirit of magnonimity do hereby bestow upon those who are left to mourn our loss, the following bequest: To the juniors, we will our Senior dignity, To the Sophomores, we will our ability to climb to the top, To the Freshmen, we leave our success in making good enough grades to become Seniors, To the teachers, and the principal, we leave our many thanks for their patience and teachings which will never be forgotten by the Senior class, To the school, we will all our respect and honor, The smaller individual bequest are as follows: I, Larry jones, will to Gary Shandy my ability to make the fir st team in basketball, I, Anna Johnston, will my sweet and charming personality to my little cousins Jay Christensen and jim Head for I think they will need it in future years, I, Earl Dornberger will my ability to keep my girl to Stanley Shivers so he can get one and keep her, I, Barbara Heskett will my ability to get a man and hold him to V-Ona Davies, I, Larry Jones, will to Buford Miller my study hall seat at the end of the Senior row, I, Anna Johnston, will my gum chewing ability to Phyliss Waters, not that she needs it of course, I, Earl Dornberger, will my American History book to my little sister, Shirley hoping she will make better use of it than I did, I, Barbara Heskett, will my curves to Carol Mellinger to become the third Marilyn Monroe, I, Larry Jones will to Kenneth Breen my ability to keep slim, I, Anna Johnston, leave my bench-warming abilities to Darlene Breen, I think she has at good start, I, Earl Dormberger, will my motor knowledge to Henry Richards so he can make his hot rod better, I, Barbara Heskett, will to Betty Bruce my ability to make the first team, l, Larry jones, will my ability to keep awake in study hall to Ron Shandy, I, Anna Johnston, will to Beverly Puck the ability to hold her man after she catches him, I, Earl Dornberger, will my 4-7 to Gabe Shandy in case his Model A quits, I, Barbara Heskett, will to Charlie Luthithe ability to hurry up and graduate, The chemistry class would like to will the chemistry equipment to Henry, jerry, and Robert so they can play with it out of clan instead of in Klgebra, 10
