, nl?57xx L 1 KAYETTE CLUB o gg I The Kansas State Activities Association for youth is the sponsor4J aa four clubs for Junior and Senior boys and girls. The girls at Milford 'igh School belong to the Senior Kayettes, while a boys club would be E. ealled the Kaye. The Kayettes specialize in teaching the members, through l- ly meetinss and orograms, service projects and recreational activities 1- the school, church, community and world., Each week, one half hour is cet aside for the Kayettes to meet. e September l6, was the ni ht chosen for a slumber party. The Kayettes, their sponsor Mrs. Jones, and a few other women who took cars, all enjoyed M a show at Junction City. wwe returned to the school house, made beds on the gym floor and sowe stayed up all night. w , an As one of the requirements, two Kayettes, Ruth Roether and Helen Kidd spent a week at Mock bprings Kayette Camp from July 2 6, 1952 lhe puroose of the camo is to make you better leaders On October 15 16, two delegates, Roberta Mellin er and Darlene halters attended a Kay and Kayette Conference held at Junction City After- registering, they attended a general session followed by a banquet and a party The following day befan with meditations, discussion groups general ses lon and then luncheon in the hi h school gym Recon ition service was held later in the afternoon and the Kayettes received their 3,000 point award plaque October 13 17 was W P A week The women were required to xay all After the rirls had asked the boys for dates all week, we took the whole school to the J C skating rink to end the time in fun In November the Kayettes made table favors for the patients of the bilford Sanitarium At Christmas, we adopted a family who had been flooded out of thei home and were badly in need of food and clothing ihe Kayettes honored the athletic boys of Bilford high School March 20, 1953 with an Athletic banquet All the parents and faculty invited and enioyed a good meal and program In May, the Kayettes rave a Mother Daughter tea and served lunch, ol supplying a short program for entertainme t The Kayettes pro for the year te the girls room mirror fi Z3 iiuiiiil
