National Honor Society This year the National Honor Society held their annual banquet. The guest speaker was Allan Beerman, secretary of State. The new members for the 1986-87 school year were seniors: Kaye Bonner, Karen Dill, Shelly Roth; juniors: Michelle Nootz and Dwaine Pekarek; and sophomores: Jodi Erb, Dave Fiala, Brad Goertzen, LeeAnn Grove, Tony Roth, and Tracy Williams. According to NHS president, Gwen Co- vert, the function of National Honor Society is “to honor students who are active in other organizations and who do well academically.” National Honor Society honors twenty- four Milford students in its organization. The National Honor Society is sponsored by Kay Landon and Michael Shimeall. Seniors: Myron Thomas, Vice President; Gwen Covert, President; and Chad Peters, Secretary-Treasurer Front row: Chad Peters, Brad Goertzen, Tony Roth, Mike Minchow, Myron Thomas, and Terry Piening. Second row: Larry Fiala, Jodi Erb, Katha Rediger, Linn Boesen, Kaye Bonner, and Karen Dill. Third row: Dwaine Pekarek, Jenifer Dugdale, Heather Gregg, Michelle Nootz, and LeeAnn Grove. Fourth row: Kari Bennett and Gwen Covert.
