Together Maintaining Goals of Education
Mr. J.E. Sutton
Superintendent of Schools
In his fourth year as superintendent,
Mr. J.E. Sutton worked closely with
the 5-member Midwest City-Del City
Board of Education. The main goal
of the board is to promote quality
education in the school system. The
Board settles policies, makes regula-
tions and hires the teachers and
other personnel for our system. Dr.

month at the Administration Build-
ing. The main issues confronting the
Board this year included building im-
provements, curriculum and fi-
nances. Once again, Midwest City-
Del City voters gave approval to a
school bond, enabling the 3 senior
highs, 5 junior highs, and 16 grade
schools to continue educating
20,000 boys and girls.
