S-7 has displayed ifs -MIDWAY MAGIC in providing Hon- neywell SNAP I computer support via 78 computer terminals[soon to expand to 102]. DP3 Gaines assisted the Dental Department with programming support for their Zenith 120 mini-computers DP3 Links showed his ■ ' MID WAY MAGIC by pro viding a tremendous effort in maintaining a flawless tape library as did Petty Officer Kelly with his efforts with S-7 ' s training records. S-7 personnel continually showed what ' ' MIDWAY MAGIC was all about by meeting unique challenges during EISRA-86. Due to the industrial environment the SNAP- 1 computer system had to be relocated off ship. Within two weeks of pulling into Yokosuka. S-7 personnel had both MIDWA Y-s ILO center, and NSD fully operational, midway is the only CV providing computer terminal support via micro-wave link to an alternate sight We provide SIDMS and SUADPS support to the squadrons atAtsugi. The Data Services Division looked particulary impressive in the Supply Management Inspection, where an overall grade of Excellent was obtained. The efforts of our fine petty officers and seamen were the key to this success They were led by Petty Officers Clarke and Crawford who provided boundlesboundless leadership and technical skills throughout the Indian Ocean deployment and EISRA-86. But then again, its not all hard work. This is eveident when DPI Sasse displayed his talents on the gridiron, or when DPSN An displays the latest in liberty attire or as DPSN Corter descnbes in his training lecture. A Zenith in Every Port . None of us will forget DP1 Clarke ' s dedication in transforming S-7 ' s WOGG ' S into SHELLBACKS Who got sick. DP1?
