D. G. Timson,AIMD Oficer ble parts, the performance of periodic inspections, and the provision oftechnical assistance to Air Wing squadrons. AIMD comprised four distinct divisions: IM-l is responsible for aeronautical and routine administrative functions for the department. IM-2 performs airframe, engine and survival equipment maintenance functions. IM-3 is re- sponsible for the maintenance of avionics and armament equipment. The IM-4 Division maintains ground support equipment. Each division is manned by highly skilled personnel with specialized technical training who are very proficient in their respective ratings.
