LTIG Robert Lorton, one of three brothers onboard Midway, is the Second Division Officer. The second division is the middle group of the deck divisions. They have an allowance of two officers and seventy-seven men. The second division is responsible to maintain the gig and number two utility boatg to man number 2, 4, 713, 6, 7C, and 7E refueling and replenishing stationsg to maintain weather deck areas including the stack and interior compartments in the center section of the ship.
