Murphy 3rd Division Junior Officer Although the worlc done by the men of Third Division began with Cain and Abel (the origin of Abel-bodied Seaman), it was only with the invention of bigger ships that Third Division began. Possibly some enterprising pre-historic man built a huge experimental barge and one windy day decided he needed a stern-hook.
