LoAjf o zAe High Sky — picturesque example of the Western living where the land is barren and the sky is high. Land of cattle, oil and cotton, which gives us our name Cat-oi-co, Catoico. Oil rich ranch and farm lands is the locale of our town and our great school. With our Western heritage comes our theme Out Where the West Begins, taken from the poem bv Arthur Chapman. This part of the West on the high open plains of the Permian Basin, landscaped with low mesquite trees, tumble weeds and cactus, where the dry prevailing West winds blow, gives us a special breed of human being. Our students are tall in spirit, wide in desire, and deep in integrity. Theirs is a unique destiny founded on the pioneer spirit of the West, guided by our teachers and an educational system exceeded by none and girded with strength of the land it- self. We give to you, our student body, a look at our part of the West.
