Midland is certainly a part of the real West it smiles are any indica- tion. These people wearing smiles hold the guiding reins of leader- ship. Out where the world ' s in the making. Where feiver hearts in despair are aching. That ' s where the West begins . . . The summer of 1968 brought disputed boundarv changes in the Mid- land School District. This problem was skQlfuliy handled by the ex- ceptional administration guided bv Dr. James Mailey. the new Super- intendent. He is familiar with this school system after serving as principal of MHS m 1958-1960. Dr. Mailey traces the new city bus routes for the Asst. Superintendents Mr. Harry Stanford. Mr. Je- rome Snyder, and Dr. Douglas Brown (below). Assuming major responsibilities are Mr. Jack L. Russell. Mrs. Mar- garet Cowden, Mr. Eugene M. Knight. Mr. Gilbert C. Thompson. Mr. Jack Matthews, and Mr. George Landreth who comprise the School Board (ri hlj- ot pictured is Mr. Robert Northington who replaced Mr. Martin G. Brown.
