Q Q,-emu MIDLAND PUBLIC SIIHOOLS FRANK MONROE, SUPIIINTINDIIT ' MIDLAND,TEXAS Dear Students: You as students of hidland High School have the unusual distinction this year of being the first to occupy our new plant. The seniors have the privilege of being the first class to be graduated from this fine school. This will be one of the things that you will remember throughout your life. Most of you now realize that the school plant and teaching personnel are pro- vided for you in order that you may have a place to study and teachers to help you learn to improve your mental and physical status. However, this improvement must take place in the individual mainly through his own energy and effort. This building and faculty can not do it for you -- they are the conditions which surround you in a manner that makes learning easier. I should like to congratulate you on the progress that you have made during the current school year and to express my sincere appreciation for the pride you have taken in the physical properties of our new school. Your school spirit has been fine, and I feel that with continued effort on the part of each and all that still greater progress in both scholastic achievement and extra-curricular activities will be forthcoming in the following school year. To each of you seniors I should like to wish good luck and a full measure of success. Sincerely'yours, flfa-1-tx Frank Monroe Superintendent
