The class kept a scrapbook on the subject chosen and at the end of the term, each student wrote a chapter on one phase of the situation. The chapters were typed and bound, making a seventy-page book entitled European Affairs. September December 1938 which should prove 1 very accurate account of the September crisis and its immediate effects The second semester the student were assigned individual current event topics and each student kept his own scrapbook At the beginning of the last six weeks papers were written by the members of the class on material read Also in the second semester the class subscribed to the Reader s Dzqest using it for a text book part of the time From this the class studied not only the current events but the tech nique of good journalistic writing as well Miss Carden and each student may look back on this year as being very profitable for the journalism class not only undertook outside 'activities but also presented to the students a regular Sunday high school news l BAFK AFAIW FH!
