As I laid me down to sleep last night The dream I had filled me with delight If dreams all do come true ----- Then Seniors I'm glad for you In this dream I did behold Each one's future, which I now unfold. Charles Patterson, behind a desk teaching English, and punishing the pest! Betty Woodham, our business girl, hair rolled without a curl! Betty Lou Marshall, nursing in her friendly way, smooth white pillows all day! Billy Register, husband and POP doing right well on a four horse crop! Mary Ida Myers, a house wife true blue, she sweeps under the beds and MOPS some too! Michael Woodham, in the world goes far, singing on radio as a number one star! Daphne Wilson Hawkins, no need to say, shops for groceries every day! J. W. Riley, a coach we behold, showing the boys how to kick for the goal! H Bobbie Whatley, strikes up a pose and models Fifth Avenue exclusive clothes! About Joyce Hartzog I had dreams galore, she was cooking breakfast at half past four! Mary Ola Kennedy, the wife of a preacher, she makes a lovely Sunday School teacher! Wilton Windham, so quiet slow, showing the cars when to come and go! Johnnie Mae Yoemans, in an office does stay, but has months vacation without any pay! V In this vision I clearly saw, Bobby Tate, a student of law! Gelette Payne, no failure to befall, teaching boys to shoot basketballs! Thomas Godwin, so very high does rate, a gentleman and a senator of the state! I, Rebecca Steele, a Home Economics teacher, showing the girls now to make homemaking cheaper! Charles Register, an odd sort of a plight, he flew around the world on a reckless flight! You'l1 admit this dream could be worse and here I would like to repeat Whittier's verse Of all sad words of tongue and pen The saddest are these 'It might have been' ! Class Prophecy Rebecca Steele
