The French Club is interested In promoting the ideals and traditions which have made French civilization universally admired. We hope to broaden our understanding of an ever shrinking world and to prepare ourselves for service to humanity in a world wide community where tolerance and compassion strive to overcome ignorance and fear. The French Club seeks to maintain high standards of conduct and scholarship. The acquisition of a basic background in speaking and reading the language is considered fundamental in order that the student might continue to grow and develop on his own in his chosen second language. It is hoped that improvement of language skills will lead the student to an appreciation of the French literary heritage. Hopefully, the pursuit of these goals will continue throughout the students lifetime. The club plans a trip to Europe each year. Picnics and social events that will promote undemanding of the French way of life. FRENCH CLUB OFFICERS: Mark Crowe, President: Debbie Evans.
