Rio woie$ Each teacher in the Mathematics Department strives to prepare his students for life situations they face upon high school graduation. A student may elect to fulfill his mathematics requirement by taking Modem Math, Business Math, or a sequence including Algebra, Geometry, and Analysis. Modem Math students become acquainted with simple mathematical situations which will enable them to do critical thinking in living situations. Business Math students are Introduced to mathematical situations which will assist them as adults in the home and while assuming business and civic responsibilities. Students in Algebra, Geometry, and Analysis are introduced to new concepts 3nd a structuring of mathematical thinking. Emphasis is placed on teaching skills and study habits that will provide an adequate mathematical foundation for success In mathematics courses during the college experience. MRS.
