Oran Tiles, Coach Frank Brown. 188 The Midfield Patriots started out this season with a new coach, a new gym. and quite a few new players. The main source of problems for the Patriots this season was inexperience: but with the hard work and the dedication of every player, the Patriots developed Into a team that played together. Many are looking forward to next year with the more experienced freshmen and sophomores joining this year’s juniors to form a powerhouse in Midfield Basketball.

Rifle Corps Captain - KAREN UNDERWOOD; Flag Captain - CAROL EDINS Co vt GujOwL Receiving a Superior Rating at competition was the goal set for the Color Guard of 1973-74. Although they did not receive this Superior Rating they did receive an Excellent Rating at both Troy and Tarrant Marching Band Competitions. The Rifle Corp and Color Guard Captain attended camp during the summer at Birmingham Southern College. The Rifle Corp received a plaque for the Most Improved Rifle Corp.” The Color Guard Captain, Linda McMeans, was one of the top three saber twirlers at the camp.
