Subterranean The hidden talents of Middletown South's creative writers and artists unfold in the pages of its annual creative arts magazine, Subterranean. Original prose, poetry, and art works are submitted by students to the Subterranean staff. At weekly meetings the staff selects and blends these works into a harmonious showcase of talent, Middletown style. The hard work of a creative staff, headed by Martha Greenwald, and the in- spiration of their advisor, Bernice Jailor, make the magazine an achievement in literature for the rest of us to enjoy.
