uote: Who will ever forget the most recent Winter Olympics when the United States Hockey team captured the gold medal by beating the Soviet Union and Finland? Remember last years Stanley Cup playoffs when the Rangers upset the Flyers and the Ilan- ders? It is obvious Ice Hockey can generate a high level of intensity, com- petiveness, excitement and unity. I hope we can someday experience such a situation at Middletown South! cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run. -John Knodel For the first time in three years Mid- dletown South's Hockey club took great strides toward becoming a full fledged team. Led by John Samuels, Joe Spe- nle, Buddy Gaur, Bob Wncent and Mac Carter the team finished undefeated as they played in the friendly confines of the Shrewsbury Ice Rink. Also con- tributing to the team were Mike Delmeir, Glenn Russell, Jim Bumett and Randy Gardella. THIS PAGE - TOP - A South player tries to win the faceoff for the eagles.
