CCB oth the boys and girls team are the finest we have had in a long time. Each team works well together and they are supportive of each other. -Susan Hughes -Tony Palasky The Middletown H. S. South Boys Bowling team finished with a final record of 23-10. Led by Mike Cologna, Paul Bacigalupi, Ken Ryan, Rick Pocia and Dan Lynch the Eagle bowlers rolled their way to victory over Middletown North, Keansburg, Keyport, Matawan and Rumson. The Eagles finished in third place A division. One of the highlights of the year included a 2-1 victory over Raritan. An individual highlight was attained by Mike Cologna as he bowled the league high game of the year with a 262. THIS PAGE - Top - Ken Ryan punches in his score before he rolls his next ball. 4 4 espite the drawback of 5:00 AM. practices, the team has progressed to the point where they are now competitive with teams that have been in existence for six years. Y.M.C.A. age-group swimmers should bolster the squads in the next few years. The girl's swim team showed great progress over its first year's performance. Their record was 5- 5. The team was sparked by co- captains Laureen Langan and Holly Davis. The boy's team made a great effort to overcome rigid competi- tion. Their team was inspired by co-captains Glenn Tiedemann and Bob Disanto. The following divers enlivened the action: Trisha Grewe, Kate Cowie. Laurie Colantuono, Chns Brown, Bob DiSanto, and Craig Selbrede. Coach Pat O'Shea has laid a solid foundation for the future of the team.
