l feel we progressed tremendously over the course of the season with a young club . -Rich Mosca is year's football team showed great signs of improvement as the year went on. The Eagles had one of the toughest schedules in the shore. Some of the highlights of the year a come from behind 19-16 victory over previously undefeated Long Branch on cable television. The Eagles also scored a record 37 points against Ocean. Offensively the Eagles were vastly im- proved as Jr. Quarterback John Johnson led the offense. Most of Johnsons passes were directing to flanker Jon Phipps who finished fourth in the shore in receiving. The Eagles received good blocking from Rick Lovato, John Kolacki, Joe Rada, John Smack and John Holwerda. Sophomore Marty Wenzel was a pleasant surprise as he put together two one hundred yard games in a row. The defense was led by Pete Bidgood, Joe Wonesh, Tom Ruggerio, Andy Peppas, Jim Gilbert, Roger Baum and Steve Brown. The wolfpack showed they play with anybody, giving up only 204 yards per game.
