Pedro Benedetti and Domingo Rios enioy the relaxing atmosphere of the library. Foreign Exchange Students Visit Middletown High Four students from Latin America arrived in Middletown on foreign exchange programs to learn English and the American way of life. After finishing high school, lvanne Murgueytiol, a senior from Ecuador, plans to study iournalism in Madrid, Spain. To be a civil engineer is the goal of Pedro Benedetti. The Brazilian, an M.H.S. senior, also plans to travel all over the world. Domingos Rios, a iunior who attends Colegio Rio Branco in Brazil, wants to study mechanical engineering when he graduates. Fabiola Ramirez is from Mexico City, Mexico. This senior's greatest desire is to become a professional ice skater in Mexico. 21

Pooh Thrills Thousands of Children Thespian Troupe 918 spon- sored a children's show, Winnie the Pooh, presented on March 8, 9, and 10. The plot involved the ani- maIs's attempts to rescue Piglet from Kanga, a mother kangaroo who gives Piglet baths and feeds him catmeal They see no hope for Piglet until Roo, Kanga's baby, runs away to Rabbit's house. Then the animals plan to keep Roo until Kanga sur- renders Piglet to them. The plan fails, but Pooh saves Piglet by giving himself to Kanga, until she will not care for him anymore. Director James Butch cast several actors to play the same roles. This situation permitted more actors to profit from the experience of learning from each other. top Kanga, one of the fiercer animals, bathes the squirming Piglet as Roo watches. above Animals l,2,3, and 4, dis- cuss the possibility that Kanga is coming to the forest. right Pooh tries to persuade Piglet to help him reach the honey in the treetops.
