 DECA DECA DECA DECA DECA DECA DECA DEC, DECA is a program designed to develop future leaders for marketing and distribution of goods and services. The purposes of DECA are to develop a respect for education in marketing and distribution which will contribute to occupational competence, and to promote understandingand appreciation for the responsibilities of citizenship in our free, competitive enterprise system. On November 4, 1977, DECA had a bowling party at Plaza Lanes in Corinth, Mississippi. On March 9, 1978, nine D.E. students attended the regional career development conference at Jackson State Community College. Lisa Bolden participated in Apparel and Accessories competitive events; Rod Cagle in Food Marketing; Annette Taylor in General Merchandising; Randy Antwine in Finance and Credit; Patricia Linzy in Advertising Services; Teresa Foster in Food Service; and Glenn Childers in Petroleum. Jeanie Casey and Belinda Jones went as voting delegates. On March 30 and 31, 1978 Glenn Childers and Randy Antwine went to State Career Development Conference in Nashville as voting delegates. Our annual cookout was May 2, 1978. 55 Deca members take a ride into the future business world.

:ta beta beta beta beta beta beta beta be The Beta Club is a national leadership-service honor society for American high school students. The aims of the Beta Club are to promote citizenship and cooperation; to reward effort and achievement; and to inspire honesty throughout our school and community. The activities of the Beta Club included a campaign to finance the trip to the State Beta Convention in Nashville. At the beginning of the year, an induction ceremony was held to acknowledge new members. The sponsor of our Club is Mr. Gene Ross. Back row: Steve McKinnie, Ronald Moore.
