X p , ff-frm. .,.,.,r As dignified seniors, we returned to school in l96l to complete our education and reign over the entire school as the superlatives in our areas. Charles Myers, a very aggressive, young lad, was elected by the student body to serve as presi- dent of the Student Council. With the alpha and the omega of the athletic season, We learned that Carris Aikens, Wesley Gadson, Robert Douglas, Ralph Rance, Charles Hadley, Jerry Swann, and Everett Curry had played exceptionally well in their respective sport or sports. Assuming the responsibility and the honors of being Miss Middleton was the curvaceous and attractive Joyce Lee. Arthur Barb was elected as president of the National Honor Society. Participating in the annual American Legion Oratorical contest was the talented Jacquelyn Scrivens. Leader of the senior class was the versatile Charles Thomas. I can see 208 students cross the threshold of their high school education and begin to lead another life--a life of responsibility and promise. As we graduate, dear old Middleton, We leave you and our friends behind, but we will never forget your teachings, nor the courage you have instilled in us. We will always let your teachings steer us and lead us toward our ambitions in the coming years. 'NVQ-.
