DEAN OF FACULTY Dr. Howard Kirksey Dean Kirksey, who has held his position since 1945, has demonstrated educational authority in liis supervision of the curriculum and has strived to raise the academic standards. In preparing himself for this role. Dr. Kirksey has received an A.B. degree from Union University and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Peabody College. His ability and service to the college have been instrumental in making MTSC a leading Southern college. DEAN OF ADMISSIONS Mr. John E. Weems Dean Weems has greatly simplified the pro- cesses which surround registration since his arrival at MTSC in 1961. He is also responsible for the admission of students and for the main- tenance of academic records for each student. Dean Weems holds the B.S. and M.A. degrees from Peabody College. He has gained admira- tion for liis sincere interest in the students. ASSOCIATE DEAN OF ADMISSIONS Mr. N. C. Beasley Since his arrival at MTSC in 1927, Dena Beasley has held three of the school ' s most important jobs: Dean- Register, Deanof Faculty, and Dean of Admissions. He is now secretar of MTSC ' s Loan, Scholarship and Development Foundation. Dean Beasley holds the B.S. and M.A, degrees from Peabody College. He experience at MTSC has enabled him to write an excellent text, COLLEGE BUSINESS.

GOVERNOR STATE OF TENNESSEE When new chapters are written in the history of Tennessee education, Governor Frank Goad Clement will be among those who are most highly praised . In the face of criticism and opposition, he has stood firm in his beliefs about the great im- portance of education. This has been re- flected in the financial advancements for education that he has spearheaded. The State Board of Education constitutes the policy making body of the Tennessee state colleges. The State Board is com- posed of outstanding people from the fields of education, government, and business. The progress made by Middle Tennessee State College during this year is an excel- lent tribute to the Board, and it signifies another successful chapter in the impres- sive and effective term of public service. The abilities and service of the members of this board have contributed much toward making our college one ot the most out- standing educational institutions in the South. Governor Frank G. DEAN OF STUDENTS DEAN OF WOMEN Dr. Belt Keathley Dean Keathley has been in charge of co-ordinating student activities on campus since 1951 . During that time, he has be- come an important part of our administrative family. Dr. Keathley holds the Bj . degree from Bethel College, and the M.S. and Ed.D. degrees from the University of Ten- nessee. Miss Martha Hampton Dean Hampton has become an integral part of campus life in her three short years at MTSC. She is sincerely in- terested in the problems of the students and works with the ASB to create interest in campus affairs. Miss Hampton holds theB.S. and M.A. degrees from MTSC and the Ed.S. degree from Peabody College. BUSINESS MANAGER ASSOCIATE BUSINESS MANAGER Mr. Jimmy Jackson Mr. James Jackson, who received his B.S. andMj . de- grees from MTSC, has been Business Manager since 1952. He is responsible for the management of the finances of MTSC and all departments and properties. He is renowned over the South for his abilities in this area. 20 Mr. T. B. Woodmore Mr. Woodmore has been associated with MTSC since his collegiate days which ended in 1929. He became business manager in 1930 after earning a B.S. degree and continued in thatpositionuntill959, whenhe came to his present position. Withhishelp, MTSC weathered the Depression and two World wars.
