OUTSTANDING ALUMNI Mr. Robert Abemathy Mr. Robert Abernathy of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is Director of Field Services at Middle Tennessee State College. A member of the Class of 1929, he is in great demand as a speaker in widely diversified areas. A great recruiter of students for his Alma Mater, a humorist in his own right, a master of repartee, a genius in public relations, he is MTSC ' s most ef- fective Roving Ambassador. Mr. Fred Gilliam Mr. Fred Gilliam of Manchester, Tennessee, is Attorney-General of the Seventh Judicial District. A member of the Class of 1929, he has had and is experiencing a distinguished career in Tennessee law. His vocational and civic cloak of many colors has the segments of the educator, alderman, bank director, hospital commissioner, Sunday School teacher, and many others. Mr. Rex Turman Mr.RexTurman of Savannah, Tennessee, is Assistant Superintendent of Schools of Hardin County. A member of the Class of 1930, he has run the long gamut of education. Beginning as a classroom teacher, he has suc- cessively and successfully held many administrative positions, has been honored with the presidencie s of three local education associations, the Tennessee Education Association, and the Tennessee Principals Associa- tion. In addition, he is an active minister and at one time was postmaster at Waynesboro, Tennessee.
