STUDENT GOVERNMENT Congress is the legislative branch of student govern- ment. It is composed of four seniors, four juniors, three sophomores, and two freshmen. Congressmen meet twice each month and work at the polls dur- ing student elections. Members cannot, however, campaign during any elec- tion without first resigning their Congressional posi- tion. Student Government ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY President, Kent Stockton Nearly 2,500 students belong to the Associated Student Body— and it is the officers ' duty to voice the desires of the entire student body and act in the students ' interest. Each spring the next year ' s ASB of ficers are elected, and good leadership qualities are initial requirements. This year ' s ASB chose wisely when they elected Kent Stockton and Judy Patterson to lead them. Dormitory Council WOMEN ' S DORMITORY COUNCIL-For those girls tempted to break rules every now and then, there awaits a Women ' s Dormitory Council. These seven representatives act as a Supreme Court, hearing the cases of the offenders and deciding their fate. The discipline works fine under the leadership of Kay Shannon. MEN ' S COUNCIL— The two men ' s dormitories also have a governing council to keep the midnight parties from getting too wild. If a problem gets too involved, it is sent to the Inter-Dormitory Council to be worked out.
