THE ADMINISTRATION Up the steps, through the heavy doors, and the inside of the familiar Administration Building of Middle Tennessee State College can be seen. Students from other states and other countries meet with native Tennesseans to begin the climb toward a common goal— higher learning. These students are directed in their endeavor and their progress is recorded in this the busiest of M. T. S. C. ' s buildings. Here can be found the Administrative offices for a student body of 2,539, a faculty of 181, and a 604-acre campus. Students ascending and descending these steps will be earning Bachelor of Science degrees, Bachelor of Arts degrees, or Master of Education degrees. Since its founding in 1911, Middle Tennessee State College has grown until it is as we see it today — one of Tennessee ' s most popular and important state colleges.
