Because we are Americans, because we believe that freedom is our riijhtful heritage, we cherish the way of life that only a freedom-loving people can understand. We lo e the freshness of the new day — the warmth of the sun beating on our backs as we earn our daily bread, as much as we want, the way we want it. We cling to the right to have firecrackers on the P ' ourth of July, and turkey on Thanksgiving, and flowers in May. and Santa Claus at Christmas.
