In the minds of many, 1933 A.D. will stand in history as the close of one era and the beginning of another. You may be fortunate, indeed, in beginning this year a more active participation in the affairs that interest mankind. My wish is that you remember ever childhood, and seek, in all ways possible, to prevent the return of conditions which came very close to destroying what we call modern civilization. N. C.
