X Dear Mr. Drummond, It is a pretense on our part to attempt to capture the significance of thirty-seven years of teaching by the dedication of this book, but we, the Senior Class of 1960, have few vehicles with which to express our senti- ments. We have chosen this opportunity to thank you for the gifts of inspiration and knowledge which you have afforded us. ln according you this honor, we have honored ourselves beyond true worthiness. Neither words nor pictures can adequately illustrate the simplicity, the character, and the intensity that has distinguished you among teachers. lt has not gone unnoticedg you are an individual to be remembered fondly hy those of us fortunate to have known you and to have studied under you. Having you as a fellow graduate has enhanced our class. We Seniors shall graduate with distinction, for we were the ones to have received your last full measure of devotion. In gratitude and sincerity, The Senior Class of 1960 As an excellent conversationalist, Mr. Drummond holds the attention of his audience whenever he speaks.
