As you receive your diploma, your cumu- lative record will be transferred from the Guidance Office to the vault wherein the records of our graduates are deposited in a permanent file. That clerical act is symbolic of the fact that we are each perpetually making records and moving on, there is little that is static in the process of iving. The clerical act of transferring your guidance folder does not imply that your education is over. Education, like life, is a continuous process. Miami Beach High School has been as a laboratory of life where our desire to equip you with fundamental knowledge and data has been exceeded only by our wish to install in your hearts certain fundamental truths in human understanding. 5 93-1- We hope that even thoughlthe world is in confusion that you are aware that confusion does not exist in the mind which is trained in the art of self-discipline, the mind that recognizes reality, be it bitter or beautiful, the mind that accepts the fact that every individual privilege is attended by a personal responsibility, and that the dignity of man and his work is the keystone of a true democracy of the soul. God-speed, Seniors! Our hopes and prayers go with you. Each tomorrow is a new adventure. Be prepared to live abundantly but with simplicity. Continue to probe the mysteries of nature, live happily and decently, with no regrets. Wars may beset the world but a mind at peace, without rancor to man, may clear the vision for the future. The world is your heritage, enioy every minute of it! Don't think you are leaving Miami Beach High School. Your successes and failures in the years ahead will be the measurement of our success as educators. We are proud that you are graduates of our school! 411- cp .'f,1,, ,QCD Cp Q T D00 H GENERAL STAFF ASSISTANT Gilda Goldstein I9 EDITOR-IN-CHIEF Phyllis Kandel SPORTS ASSISTANT EDITOR Judy Karnens EDITOR ARTIST Emden Herzog 431,551 Jean Redman 1' N-4:7 O AD SELLERS I ADVERTISING Seated: Elise Weinsfock, Helene Rosenthal, Barbara Hillman. How swiftly these six years have gone by is both your testimony and mine! It hardly seems possible that the first class that I welcomed as seventh graders is about to graduate. Surely time is like a vapor that vanishes away! ln five spans of six years the world will count you middle-aged. How vital each six year span is, we well recognize. If we could carry into the future years the resolve we have when, looking back over our high school days, we determine how differently we would do if we had it to live over again! But these years of living over lie ahead and THEY ARE OURS TO LIVE. The challenge to you, then, is to lament the past less and fulfill the future more It is with unusual pleasure that I extend my greetings and heartiegt Wishes fo the members of the class of 1952. Your Alma Mater sends you forth with her blessing. . IRVIN W. Vocational guidance is offer- ed, and for those students plan- ning to go to college, the de- partment maintains a special section of college catalogues in the library. MISS BARBARA SATER MISS CAROL WASHER The Junior Class presented a fun packed evening's entertainment on the night of November 20. The story was built around the characters who pass daily through a railway depot. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Miss Eleanor Krutel as Queen of Miami Beach Senior High School by the Junior Class President, Max Hagen. Miss Barbara Sater and Miss Coral Washer acted as honor attendants to the Queen. i, rf, .. Organization. A group of public spirited Citizens raised the sum of 525,000.00 for Air-Condi- tioning Units for our Auditorium and Cafeteria. Our expression of appreciation was in the form of a 51,000.00 contribution from our Treasury to this proiect that would prove beneficial not only to every student and the entire faculty at Beach High, but also to any group or organization who will use our facilities. Again this year we have presented gifts to our Junior and Senior Libraries. Last September our Supply Room was moved to larger quarters and continues to be a great convenience to students and faculty. Our Cafeteria is also P.T.A. sponsored. P.T.A. is a Service Organization and will continue to direct its efforts in every possible sphere to be of service to students and faculty of Beach High. Mrs. Leon J.
